Golf Club Peralada

The Perelada Golf Club is an ideal course both for staging competitions and large tournaments and for enjoying a pleasant, relaxing day out. There is a magnificent par-71 round of 18 holes over 5,990 m and four tee-offs for each hole. It is fairly flat with areas of lakes, water-banks and trees, suitable for all types of player.

The course was opened in 1993 and has been designated the best course on the Costa Brava several times. It received an IAGTO (International Association of Golf Tour Operators) award together with the other golf courses in the Costa Brava-Girona Golf Course Association, as the best up-and-coming destination for golf 2000 in the world. Competitions and high-level tournaments are organised here, such as the Catalonia Open 95, the trials for the PGA Pre-Qualifying School and the Seniors Qualifying School.

Blending in perfectly with the landscape, the conservation of the environment and care for nature is prevalent over the whole course. As you go round, you can see water birds, birds of prey and a great variety of plants, indigenous animals and other interesting species that have adapted to the environment. The Peralada Golf Club is the first golf course in Europe to be handed an environmental management certificate from the EMAS scheme of the EU for eco-management and auditing.
